Some Backward Bored of Dictators (directors) of Religious Organizations

To:  TheLeaders @ Muslim Organizations
(The kind who don't represent me)

Dear bored of dictators,
Who give awards to people
"On behalf of the Muslim community"
Where the only representatives
Present at your dinner ceremonies
Are doctors rubbing suits with millionaires

I must have missed the Islamic teaching
Which says I should spend $100 for a meal
My money will make you guys rich
While in your own backyard and parking lot
There are plenty of homeless and hungry

With $100 I could feed at least
A hundred people on skid row
Soup or peanut butter sandwiches
You don't answer my letters
I don't exist for you unless you want my money
In the name of religion, are you pimping me?
If you are a beacon of spirituality
Forget about me, question is:
What would Mohammed do?

Anarkisst

Anarkisst

He thinks he's better
Because of some skill
As an artist

He gives birth
To beautiful concepts and kids
But doesn't complete things

And his girlfriend
Who's a doctor
So lonely
She buys everything
Nurses people's wounds
Then broadcasts them

He's irresponsible
He forgets things
Now he's grown false wings

No empathy
No loyalty
No respect

For twenty two years
Off friendship

Aero Straight and Narrow

Aero Straight and Narrow

You're possessed
By TV's empty fantasies
Hot air is everywhere
Your ears are filled
With parasitic words
You murder time
Among friends

I'm trying to be mindful
I'm trying to be me
And not get manipulated
My words are thoughtful
Based on tests and time
You may not value them now

Ignorance is ignoring the truth

Come get me
When you get tired
Of meaningless conversations
If I'm lucky enough
To still be here

Absorption

Absorption

Outside a closed church
Damaged by the earthquake
I pass by him
Every afternoon around 2

The air of broken dreams
The marks of spilled guts
Stain the sidewalk
Around his escaping body

Facing the wall
Asleep on a cardboard
Next to a pillow
Of strange belongings

A thousand footsteps come and go
Ten thousand cars drive by
Does anybody really see
Or worry about him?

Why don't I ever say hello
Or ask how I can help?

'fore '47 my father was Indian
And his fathers ages before him
Now they shred us
Into a thousand tribes
And a hundred shades
Between black and white
Columbus sailed to plunder India
But found West-Indians instead
Europeans invaded Indians
In both hemispheres
And natives were made to change
Natives and Indians are all the same
We still share our roots and a name
   When the link is forged
          Our global circle will emerge
                Standing face to face
          With our commanding surrogate parents
     We will be honored
We will make it a sensible place
'fore Pakistan my father was Indian
And his fore fathers ages 'fore him

Thirteen Minutes of Moonset

Thirteen Minutes of Moonset

It's a mirror which reflects
the difference between wrong and right
A carbon monoxide
detector that saved my kid's life
A pendant with my name engraved
which my beloved holds on tight

A fast spinning yo-yo which turns white
A birthday cake with chocolate inside
A roundabout loop to circle my bike
It's a roll of thread to fly my kite
It's a wheel of provolone cheese
It's my motorcycle's headlight
It's a bowling ball that always gives me a strike
It's a flying saucer which turns into a floatation device
A giant bucket to paint everyone bright
A marble, a jewel, a pearl,
A frisbee my dog loves to bite

A peeled radish, an onion, a coconut,
A lychee without parasites
I dropped it and it broke
Into a thousand whipped cream pies

From Wayne Dyer’s book, The Power of intention...

From Wayne Dyer’s book, The Power of intention...

I want to feel good in my life also means I want to feel God in my life.

The principles he discusses in this book, are summarized as the Dyer Dozen:

1. Want more for others than you do for yourself – that’s how God works!

2. Think from the end. See for yourself as already having accomplished and show up in your life that which is.

3. Be an appreciator rather than a depreciator – whether you appreciate or depreciate is up to you, but in either case, that which you appreciate/depreciate is what you attract to you.

4. Know that you are an object of wellbeing.

5. Notice resistance – it is the form that is taken in all of the thoughts that say "I can’t have it. I can’t do it."

6. Contemplate yourself surrounded by the conditions which you want to create. Remember… the law of floatation was not discovered by the contemplation of the sinking of things!

7. Remember the law of allowing – follow the path of least resistance.

8. Practice radical humility. Check your ego at the door.

9. Be in a state of gratitude for all that shows up!

10. Remember, you cannot relieve a problem by condemning it. You attract what you condemn.

11. Play the match game – match your thoughts to what you want, rather than not want. Rather than say "I need to lose 20 pounds, and I can never get this weight off", say instead, "I am the perfect body weight and eat a healthy diet that allows me to maintain the healthiest frame for me."

12. Meditate!!!! Just 3 to 5 minutes each day of meditation, which is simply focused thought on your breathing, will radically change your life.
